The way this song came about was during early 2005, when i was just mucking around think nothing of this song... And during that time i was really praying to God to continue to fill with me inspiritation and to provide songs for the congregation to allow them to simply worship... And so i had the verse down ages ago... and then a couple months later i kept praying for inspiration and i had this melody running through my head during a worship time, and it kept staying there... And later that melody became the chorus... When i heard the theme of Jama Jnr was based on

Mt 16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

I was excited cause it fitted in with the idea of the song... and so i added in lyrics for the chorus and bridge... Honestly, it just came to me... i didn't dwell on it... During the period of processing this song... i went through so much discouragement... cause i couldn't make progress of this song as i had the verse and but no chorus, and so many times i felt like giving up... But then God kept encouraging me to keep writing it... I thank God so much. It's no Hillsong song, but i was super blessed knowing that God provided inspiration. All glory to Him!
